Kyrgyzstan scores well in tax structure but scores poorly in cigarette price, and tax share, and in the mid-range in affordability change. It would greatly benefit from higher cigarette prices, increasing the tax share of price, and reducing the cigarette affordability.
Scores Over Time
Kyrgyzstan's overall score increased from 2014 to 2020 before it fell down in 2022. The decrease in 2022 was due to a reduction in the affordability change score.
