Rosa Sandoval, MPA
Rosa Sandoval holds degrees in Public Administration and Economics. For the past twenty years, Rosa has been with the Pan American Health Organization in increasingly complex roles on noncommunicable diseases prevention. She has devoted special attention to the use of tobacco taxation as a tool to curb the tobacco epidemic. Building upon her work on tobacco taxation, she leads PAHO’s efforts on Health taxes. Rosa brings her vast experience on building bridges between science and policy on tobacco control through effective partnerships across governments and institutions to the wider issues of Economics of NCDs.
